Can foreign debt be included in bankruptcy?

I have started receiving phone calls from collection agencies trying to collect on debt that I accumulated overseas. If I file for bankruptcy, can this foreign debt be included?

Yes, you can discharge the foreign debt. And the discharge will prevent the foreign creditors from attempting to collect that debt in the United States.
