Will civil judgments against me be dismissed through bankruptcy?
I have civil judgments against me. Will they be dismissed if I file for bankruptcy or are will they have to be addressed separately?LawQA.com Answer Library

It depends on the bankruptcy chapter you file, but yes, generally speaking those lawsuits will be stayed from further proceeding the day you file. Please contact one of our bankruptcy lawyers for further information.
