Will judgments attached to my home be discharged?
I have several judgments against my home. If I file for a chapter 7 bankruptcy that includes my property, will these judgments against my home be discharged along with everything else? Thank you.LawQA.com Answer Library

If there are liens on your home due to past judgments after the discharge of the debt your attorney will need to file a motion to have the liens stricken.

You have to file a motion to remove the liens from the house.

Liens against real estate will usually remain valid, unless they were specifically avoided via lien avoidance motion.
